The District Council of Lower Eyre Peninsula supports youth in its community in a number of ways. The Cummins Youth Advisory Council (YAC) gains funding from the Office for Youth and Council.

'How to Nail Adulting' initiative
Moving out of home is one of life’s biggest transitions and can be both exciting and daunting at the same time. This kit has been designed by young adults to help you nail leaving home. This project has received funding from the Department of Human Services Youth-led COVID-19 Recovery Grants and administered by the Local Government Association of South Australia in partnership with the District Council of Lower Eyre Peninsula, Port Lincoln City Council and West Coast Youth and Community Support.
