Council provides all farm chemical users throughout the District with a drum collection service - drumMUSTER. The drumMUSTER collection operates in July and October each year.
Containers must be:-
- Triple rinsed
- Clean & dry (no chemical residue)
- Declared clean when delivered
- Lids removed
- Metal drums should be punctured
Bookings are essential and can be made by contacting the Cummins Council Office and speaking to Works Admin on 8676 0400.

ChemClear
Agsafe’s ChemClear program is an opportunity to provide agricultural and veterinary (AgVet) chemical users the ability to dispose of unwanted, surplus, or obsolete chemicals. Chemical users can register their unwanted or obsolete agvet chemicals for collection by visiting the Agsafe website, ChemClear registration form — Agsafe or by calling 1800 008 182.
ChemClear collections are coming up across several states, giving farmers and chemical users a safe, responsible way to dispose of unwanted agricultural and veterinary chemincals. Chemicals must be registered before the deadline for each state to be included in the collection.
South Australia & Western Australia: Register by 31 March 2028, with collections secheduled for May/June 2028.
ChemClear will contact you directly to advise the location and date of the collection point in your local government area. If you have registered any Group 2 classified chemicals, you will be provided with a quotation on a per lt/kg basis for the collection and disposal of these products.
When a collection is scheduled in your area ChemClear will contact you and provide the following information:
- the address of the collection site
- a date for the collection
- an appointment time to deliver the chemicals to the collection team
