Making a Freedom of Information Application

Subject to certain restrictions, the FOI Act gives members of the public a legally enforceable right to access information held by South Australian (Local) Government agencies such as Councils.  The purpose of this statement is to assist members of the public to identify the functions and decision making processes of Council, detail the type of information held by Council and advise how it can be accessed by the public.

All agencies are required to provide a general information statement outlining the governance arrangements of Council which can be accessed below.

Once you have lodged an application, you will receive a determination on your application within the specified legislative timeframe. Should you be dissatisfied with the determination, please complete a 'Request for review of decision' and forward to the Chief Executive Officer via the above contact details.
