Public Registers

Under the Local Government Act 1999, Council is required to keep particular registers. Details regarding these registers is outlined below.

Register of Gifts & Benefits

(Mandated by Codes of Conduct - Employees and Elected Members)

A register of gifts and benefits received by Council staff or Elected Members must be kept by Council and displayed on Council's website. The monetary limit for recording on the register by gazette is $100. The register must be updated every three months and the current version is available by clicking here.

Register of Interests

(Section 70, Local Government Act, 1999)

The Local Government Act 1999 requires all Elected Members to complete a declaration on an annual basis containing details of their interests. This register is updated annually or as Elected Member interests change and can be accessed here.

Register of Allowances & Benefits

(Section 79, Local Government Act, 1999)

The Register of Allowances and Benefits records the the annual allowances, expenses reimbursed by the Council and other benefits paid to an Elected Member of the Council. This register is available for viewing at the principal office of Council, 32 Railway Terrace, Cummins.

Register of Council Member Mandatory Training

(Section 80A, Local Government Act, 1999)

The Local Government Act 1999 sets out the legal requirements for training and development of Council Members, and ensures they comply with prescribed mandatory requirements. The register is updated annually and can be accessed here.

Register of Remuneration, Salaries & Benefits

(Section 105, Local Government Act, 1999)

The Register of remuneration, salaries and benefits lists the positions held by employees in the Council and sets out the classifications, salary scales and other allowances or benefits paid to employees. This register is available for viewing at the principal office of Council, 32 Railway Terrace, Cummins.

Fees & Charges

(Section 188, Local Government Act, 1999)

A register of fees and charges imposed by the Council for various services, applications, permits, or use of Council owned facilities is contained within Policy FIN-SCH-01 - Schedule of Fees and charges and is available by clicking here.

Community Management Plans & Community Land

(Section 196 207, Local Government Act, 1999)

Council own and operate, or are vested the care and control of community land by the Crown. A copy of the management plans detailing how Council will manage community land, and a copy of the register detailing the community land operated by Council is available here or can be viewed at the principal office of Council, 32 Railway Terrace, Cummins.

Register of Public Roads

(Section 231, Local Government Act, 1999)
