Accommodation for the aged
The District Council of Lower Eyre Peninsula fully owns and administrates 16 dual / independent living units in Cummins.
The units are sited in close proximity to the Cummins & District Memorial Hospital and were built in two stages, with the first eight completed in 1978 and the final stage completed in 1982. All units are semi-furnished and the complex is maintained by Council.
In 2016 one of the units was converted to a two-bedroom unit.
The single bedroom units are $155 per week and the double unit $232 per week. There is no capital contribution required on entry.
People who are considering tenancy at some stage are invited to register their interest so that they can be informed when a unit becomes vacant. A registration of interest or an application does not commit anyone to proceeding with the application if they do not wish to do so.
Further information can be obtained from the Cummins Council Office on 8676 0400.
