Are you a Learner or P-Plate driver?
Designed for young people who are currently on their P or L Plates, this program goes beyond the scope of any learner training previously done. It focusses on the importance of ensuring young people develop their knowledge and skills associated with safe driving practices and increasing their awareness of preventative driving strategies.
Program content includes:
- Basic car dynamics and control skills
- Emergency braking & collision avoidance
- Safe steering
- Understanding speed, fatigue, alcohol & peer pressure
- Safe following distances
- Car modification
- Observation techniques
Brought to you through a partnership between the Lower Eyre Council, the Community Bank Cummins District and the Cummins Youth Advisory Committee.

Time: 8.30am-5pm
Location: Matt and Jodi Mickan’s farm, Cummins
Cost: $30/driver
Vehicle: All participants are required to bring their own vehicle. L-Plate drivers must have a fully licensed supervising driver with them in the vehicle.
