Government Grants

Where do I find a grant?

Don’t leave finding your grant opportunity to luck. You can manage this process by talking with Council’s Economic and Community Development Officer, keeping an eye on Council’s Facebook page or look at the handful of websites that list grant opportunities.

Some websites will let you register your areas of interest and then you will be notified via email when the grant opens. The following websites are helpful tools in finding the right grant opportunity for your project.

GRANTAssist - South Australian Government website with grants for South Australian communities, clubs and individuals

Grant SA - website for project funding for not-for-profit community organisations to improve community participation, wellbeing, and quality of life for people living and working in South Australia.

GrantConnect - database of forecast and current Australian Government grant opportunities

Community Grants Hub - Australian Government grants hub

Business Grants & Programs finders - Australian Government grants for business/industry

There are also subscription services which will alert you about grant opportunities from Federal and State Governments as well as philanthropic and non-Government organisations. These come with an annual fee but are useful if you have a large project or need several grants for multiple projects, or stages of projects over an extended period.
